Just hanging out!

This was a fun, FUN session and right up my alley. Mom had a vision, and although we had to do some major rigging to make it work, in the end it was a success! Please note: no babies were injured in the making of these photos. :)

Mama Mia!

I still haven't decided which I love shooting more, beautiful bellies or precious babies. This session made me swing in the direction of beautiful bellies. This mom had a particular glow about her! Her husband, who I went to school with, also came and partook in the fun! Thanks y'all for a fun session!

Moving on up!

It is time to take yet another photography step and transition to pay-by-the-print. As of August 1st, my fees will change and I will no longer include a CD of the high resolution images with the session fee. If you are already booked with me past August 1st, I will of course honor the current listed price.

More details to follow soon!

Hawaiian Falls

Monday we went to Hawaiian Falls with Crystal and Jackson. Our friend Carole and her family came later, too. It was so much fun. Presley loves it there and of course didn't want to leave! But all the kids were beyond tired. Teagan was the best baby EVER!! She didn't so much as whimper the whole time we were there. Even when she was so sleepy. She got a hold of a bucket we brought and put it over her face and fell asleep!! It was SO funny. Crystal took a picture and we got a group shot too!

Yes, those are my white legs glowing under the water!

Twins update!

Willa and Dovie got to come home yesterday!! Alison and Jay are settling in nicely with their baby girls and so far so good. Thank you everyone for your prayers! Here are some more pictures of them from the NICU earlier in the week.

From left to right: Dovie and Willa in their 'Twins Rock!' onsies Alison's doula got them. SO cute!

Their first family picture! Here you can really see how tiny they are!

Little Man, Tanner

There really isn't anything little about Tanner. At four months old, he is as solid as a rock!! Him, his big sister, and his mama came over and we ate some lunch, took some pictures, swam in the blow up pool Presley got for her birthday and then took some more pictures! Both my girls were worn plum out! Thanks for a fun afternoon, Steph!

Here's a sneak peak at Tanner's pictures! What a beautiful boy!

Little House on the Prairie Baby

Here's a few pictures of Teagan at 8 and a half months. She's growing like a weed. She's cutting her top teeth and has two bottom teeth already. She's crawling all over the place and getting from point A to point B very quickly! She's pulling up and yesterday in the blow up swimming pool stood up and let go and held it for a few seconds. She loves the water and has no fear! She's taken a few naps in her actual crib lately! She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth! I've fished many things out - leaves, grass, even the occasional dust bunny! We even had a trip to the doctor for an xray when I noticed a piece of a wallet was missing. But after several hours in the waiting room and two xrays (on two different days) there was no metal in her GI system! Afterwards I did a thorough search of the toy box for things that shouldn't be in there! Good lesson learned!

Laundry Strike

Well as some of you might know, laundry is my nemesis! There is no end to this domestic chore...to all the domestic chores for that matter - dishes, sweeping, picking up after ourselves, etc! I don't do a load or two a day like people have tried to tell me about. I wait until there's a huge pile and then I grudgingly go to work on weeding it down. So the other day, Price picks up the house (a.k.a. stuffing in the nearest drawer, basket, shelf). So I come home and this is what I'm met with right in front of the washer and dryer by the back door. Lovely! Thanks, Babe!

I've slowly turned it into this:

Which brings us to another chore I dread - putting up all the clean clothes! I am thankful that we have clothes to wear and will try to keep that in the forefront of my mind while I continue on my laundry journey.

To conclude, I am no domestic diva! Although I have made about 6 Chicken, Broccoli and Rice casseroles in the last week. It's so easy so I will share the recipe below!

Chicken, Broccoli and Rice Casserole:

Mix in a big bowl - 3 chicken breasts cut in chunks, 2 cups of Minute Rice, 3 to 3.5 cups of water, half to 3/4's a big bag of cheese, 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, one bag of broccoli florettes, and lots of salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Pour into a rectangle baking pan and sprinkle with the rest of the bag of cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

Note: You can't mess this up!

Happy Laundry Day Everyone!

Lil P

Here is one of Presley's two year old pictures in some of her new birthday duds. She is something else!!

Some of her favorite things lately:
  • anyone's keys - she tries to unlock all the doors, use them while she's in Teagan's walker, which is the shape of a pink jeep, or put them in a play purse.
  • talking on the phone (really her hand) to her cousins "Dubie" and "Willa", who I think she thinks is one person
  • the Wiggles
  • singing the ABC's - and all the letters that she doesn't know, she replaces with her two favorite words - "no" and "my"
  • singing row, row, row your boat, but I think she's almost over this obsession
  • taking her diaper off
  • diapering all her babies, or really anything with legs (she put a diaper on a barbie the other day)
  • doing things herself and she'll say "my do it", which means "I'll do it"
  • "chocolate nimp", which means "chocolate milk", she can pronounce chocolate perfectly!

Willa and Dovie pictures

Here are some pictures of Willa and Dovie from this past Thursday. It was my birthday and I got to take Alison up to the hospital and spend a lot of time with my nieces. And I finally got to hold one of them! They are growing and doing so great! Dovie now doesn't even have all the connections that she had in these photos, but I wanted to let everyone see how beautiful they are! They are both in open air cribs and out of their isolettes.

Willa posing for the camera and giving some great eye connection!

Willa looking at her mama.

Dovie after she ate and burped!

Dovie laying skin to skin with her mama, obviously really enjoying it!!

What blessing these babies are to the whole family!

Boudoir Buzz

OK, so everyone has been asking what these boudoir pictures were all about. Well back in May, I was asked to do some fun pictures for some friends as an anniversary gift to their husbands. Well now all gifts have been given and the guys LOVED it! Now I can post some of the photos (with permission) and not spoil anything! These girls were so fun and oh my gosh, gorgeous!! Thank you all for building my portfolio!

Kellan

Meet Kellan, who is 3 months old and such a laid back little guy! He was so patient and such a good sport as we moved him this way and that and changed his outfit a few times. He threw some smiles out a couple times! At the end, he let us know it was time for some cuddling and he drifted off to dream land so easily! Kellan, I'll babysit you ANYTIME! Thanks y'all, I had fun!

My, how they grow!

The adorable sisters, Sophia and Lola, are back! And this time they brought their parents along. What a great family to get to know - beautiful girls and friendly and funny parents, who you can just tell are still so in love with one another!
